I have two Nest Cam (Battery) and a Nest Doorbell (Battery, but wired) and none are working properly since the last update. Events are being missed. If a car parks in front of my house and someone gets out of the car to drop off a package, the only event is the car and no video of the person or the package being left. When I go into my garage it records my car backing in, but not me getting out or going between the house and the garage for a couple of minutes. I pay for Nest Aware but it is USELESS if it doesn't capture the subsequent events. Since these are the battery models they are not constantly recording, so it is not a matter of missing the notifications, but rather the events/video themselves. What can I do to fix this?

Hi jen_Boomerang,
Thank you for posting. I apologize for the inconvenience you're experiencing with your Nest Camera (Battery) and Nest Doorbell (Battery). I understand how frustrating it can be when your Nest Aware subscription isn't working as expected. Help is here.
It's important to note that the Nest Camera (Battery) must be connected to a power source to have 24/7 event video history. If your camera is battery-powered, it will only have event video history, even with a Nest Aware Plus subscription. Additionally, video history isn't available for Nest Doorbell (Battery), even with optional wired installation. Depending on your Nest Aware subscription tier, keep in mind that you may only get event video history (snapshots), not a recording video.
You might find these articles helpful: Nest Aware subscription and Nest cameras detecting events. They provide more information and options for capturing events with your Nest Camera (Battery) and Nest Doorbell (Battery).
Please let me know if you have any further questions.
Regards,
Byron
