Hello all I have had the Nest Hello doorbell for about a week now. Since day one the chime wasn’t working. I’ve tried everything, new mechanical chime, new 16V 30 VA transformer but still not working. I’m sure it’s getting the correct voltages and everything. When I remove the puck, chime works just fine. Any help would be much appreciated.
Thank you.

Do you by any chance actually have the new Gen 2 Google Nest Doorbell, rather than the older Google Nest Hello Doorbell that Google Nest is no longer selling?
Some customers in this forum have reported problems with the "chime puck" for the 2nd Gen Google Nest Doorbell, causing their doorbell chime to not work:

No, I’m sure I have the Nest Hello

Curious, because what you describe with the 4-wire "chime connector" for the Nest Hello is exactly what's happened to some other customers with the 2-wire "chime puck" for the new 2nd Gen Google Nest Doorbell, and some have been able to resolve it with a new "chime puck".

The Chime puck that I have is a 2 wire, one connects to the transformer and one connects to the front doorbell.

The 2nd Gen Google Nest Hello Doorbell has a 2-wire "chime puck". The Google Nest Hello Doorbell (which we have) has 4-wire "chime connector".

Hi there,
Sorry to hear you're experiencing this, as I can imagine it has been an inconvenience. I would love to look into this further for you. Are you sure you do not have the Nest Doorbell 2nd Gen (wired)? It is the only Nest/Google product that comes with a Chime Puck. The Nest Hello comes with an older chime connector.
Best regards,
Brad

If you read the customer's post, you'll see they already upgraded their transformer.
Perhaps, like many other customers, they have a defective "chime puck".
