Is the battery replaceable in the Nest Doorbell battery?

No, the battery in Nest Doorbell (battery) is not designed to be user replaceable or serviceable.

If you're experiencing battery issues, I'd recommend consulting the help centre for appropriate troubleshooting steps, or contact Google Nest support.

Unfortunately, I went through the steps with trying to fix Nest Doorbell battery and it's a faulty battery and Google won't replace it because it's 4 months out of warranty. Not too Happy!

Hey Iris,

Did you speak with support and receive a message from them stating that the doorbell wasn't eligible for repair? If you haven't spoken with support directly, I would still urge you to do so and confirm with them if you are actually out of options.

Thanks,
Jeff

I did call Support and they did nothing to help me because I was 4 months past the 1  year warranty for the Nest Doorbell "battery" model. I had to buy another one and I'm pretty irritated.

Thanks for the update, Iris. I wish things could have worked out more smoothly for you.

While we didn't find the resolution you were looking for on this, is everything working well with your replacement doorbell? Is there anything else I can help with on this?

Thanks,
Jeff

Everything's fine Jeff, thank you. I just can't afford a wired doorbell right now which would be a more long term solution than the battery powered. So I had to go with the battery one again. Best, Iris

Hi Iris,

As we got our resolution here, I'm going to mark this thread as complete. I'll be locking this thread if we won't hear back from you again in 24 hours. Should that happen, feel free to create a new one if you have more questions or have other concerns in the future.

All thanks for your help, @David_K and Jeff.

Cheers,

Zoe
