Hello I have I installed a Nest Door bell (wired). Everything went smoothly except the mechanical chime does not make any noise. With the cover off, I can see the “dinger” move slightly when the doorbell button is pressed but it does not seem to have enough to get up and struck the plate. It is not obstructed.
Any tips would be appreciated!

Check whether your doorbell transformer meets Google Nest's requirements (https://support.google.com/googlenest/answer/9247132).
Note also that many customers in this forum (including us) have reported they needed to upgrade to a 16V 30VA transformer to get their doorbell to work.
Also, have you installed the "chime puck"?
