Nest Doorbell Peeling

Randomly my main powered nest doorbell has started peeling. The plastic has all bubbled up and started breaking up. The front driveway is in a shaded area not south facing.

Looking multiple google forums this is a fault with the Nest doorbell. I  paid nearly £150 for this doorbell and it is not in warranty. It now looks terrible and is obviously a major manafacturing issue.

Can Google help at all, admit their fault and provide a replacement?  The doorbell now looks awful.
