Nest Doorbell (battery) missing / delayed notification upto 20 seconds

For the past 2 weeks, I missed a few packages as the Nest Doorbell gen 1 (battery) decided to either send delayed notifications or just ignore the doorbell. When I finally realize it's been late the live mode does work to see who is in front of the camera to initiate 2 way talk feature.

So the it's a smart doorbell that doesn't work, what's happening with this nest product, is there a downgrade to this product?

I have nest hub max, nest hub gen 2, nest mini, pixel 7 Pro and pixel watch and still end up missing packages 😞

Same thing was happening to me and it **bleep** the bed a few weeks later. Call your warranty in now!

Hey there,


Thank you for bringing up the concern you're experiencing, I would love to look into this further for you. The first troubleshooting step that I'd recommend would be to restart your device. This process should keep all your settings, and reconnect it to the same Wi-Fi network. This is helpful if it ever freezes, has connection problems, or isn't working normally.

Hi All,

As suggested by Brad, I followed the instructions and restarted my doorbell, however it didn't seems to help as I still kept getting notifications upto 25 seconds after the doorbell is pressed. 

I want to emphasize on the placement of my wifi it is 1.5 meters away from the doorbell with only the front door separating them. 

 

So as a final desperate move, I did a full factory reset and lost all my history. This seems to be the only solution that seems to be working for now. Being a nest aware plus member it's pains to lose history. 

 

While I appreciate the support here but the doorbell performance is very inferior and a total  let down.
