My Best Doorbell (battery) won't lock into place. The pop-out button on the top back of the doorbell is pushed in and won't release in order to keep the doorbell securely mounted to door column. Suggestions? Do I need Google to send me a new doorbell?
Try contacting Support (https://support.google.com/googlenest/gethelp). Other posts in this forum have also reported defective mounting mechanisms.
Someone posted earlier that they tried squirting a little WD-40 into the button, taking care to tap over the USB port and other openings, and were able to get theirs working. You just don't want to get WD-40 inside your doorbell.
