I recently installed the New Battery nest doorbell, in a wired fashion. The doorbell and camera itself work great, but it intermittently says it is in battery mode.

The google home app will say the doorbell is plugged in, and sometimes it says that the battery is only at 80%. Does this represent an underlying issue? Will the charge on the device continue to drop if I am not paying attention to it? Is it supposed to switch back and forth?

Thanks

Jon

Me, too. Can we get a Google Nest rep to confirm whether this is normal behavior or not. It sounds like a relatively common thing for users who have their doorbell wired. Every time it happens I worry that something is wrong with the doorbell or the connection. If it's part of the design and it's cycling the battery then they need to let us know. And if its not... They need to figure out what's going wrong for all of us.
