A few months ago there were system wide problem with Nest Cameras (indoor/outdoor/doorbell) randomly turning off, or reporting as being offline. A few weeks ago it magically seemed to be fixed, but the issue is now back again.
For about a week nog, the doorbell is going randomly offline multiple times a day. It will automatically come back a little later (10 minutes, one hour, two hours).
And to make it absolutely clear: resetting devices does not solve anything.
Wifi signal is very strong; as reported by my AP and the fact it's only about 3 meters away from it.
Considering all the other (unresolved) posts on this forum I am (again) suspecting something on google's backend.

Whatever is causing this does not affect all customers. Some of us have not seen this issue, either previously or now.
Being just another customer, I don't know how one determines other factors that might be involved. Country or locale? Mesh Wi-Fi? Other Wi-Fi issues? Something else?

There was an article a while back in which was mention google confirmed the issue. It's here (in Dutch): https://tweakers.net/nieuws/210972/gebruikers-klagen-over-problemen-met-stream-google-nest-cam-en-do...
According to google the problem was resolved, although my issues persisted for a few weeks after that. It's not a reach to assume they didn't completely solve the issue. If I was the only one here complaining about this issue I might be inclined to think it was an issue on my end. But I'm certainly not the only one...
Just a few hours ago I missed a delivery because, surprise, surprise, my doorbell was offline.
Any day is filled with these dark bands. Often it's just "No events detected", but many other times it's "The camera was off or offline". I also receive notifications on my phone stating "The camera has been offline for 10 minutes".
Now it might still be that my unit is defective and this is all some coincidence, but seeing as to how google is doing the customer support around here (they're basically not), I'm not really inclined to buy more google devices.
I bought heavily into the google home system a decade ago. Over the years I filled my house with the devices because I really like this kind of stuff, but also over the years I've seen their performance deteriorate, and progress being non-existent to the point it's going backwards. Just recently the new google home app has gotten some love, but it's been many, many years.
At this moment it feels like the google home division is ran by some google volunteers in their free time in some basement of the google complex. I'm sure that's not actually the case, but goddamn as an end consumer (who is working in a related field professionally) it sure does feel like it.
Sorry, this has turned into a rant. But I'm having troubles hiding my frustrations and I've noticed I'm not the only one on this forums.

Hello BramNL,
I’m sorry to hear you're having trouble with this. I know how it feels when something isn’t working the way it should, and I appreciate your reports here in the Community.
A few questions: what was the color of the status light when the device was offline? Are you using an iOS or Android device? Does it happen on both Wi-Fi and mobile data?
This handy guide may help.
Thanks for chiming in, MplsCustomer.
Best,
Lance
