Nest Hello Doorbell 1st Gen - Peeling

Hi, 

I have a Nest Hello Doorbell that seems to be peeling off on the outside. Initially I thought it was the clear plastic left on but it doesn't peel off. I can sort of scrape it off. Actually could it be the plastic film that's been baked on by the sun? Is there anything I can do about this? It looks ugly 😞
