Trouble shoot NC013 says to bring the Nest devices close together, but both the Hello and thermostat are wall mounted about 8 feet apart. How can I complete set up? These are the only Nest devices in the house.

More from Creekside. Used a micro to power the doorbell and put it next to the thermostat. Still will not connect. Steps taken so far: Restarted and did a factory reset. Verified that the Nest thermostat and my iPhone are on the same Wi-Fi network. Closed the App and reopened. Turned my phone off and restated. Verified that the Nest thermostat was connected to the App.

Hi Creekside, I'm an end user like you. Reading thru this forum you will find A LOT of people reporting the same or similar problems.
This appears to be a bug in the Google software that has been around a long time and as of yet there does not appear to be an easy solution.
I think you best bet is to open a support ticket with actual Google Techs (this is just a user forum that Google doesn't respond to) and ask them for help. I believe this link works 24/7/365.
Here is the link: https://support.google.com/googlenest/gethelp
If they can get you up and running please return here and let us know how they got it working.
I see a few people said they got it to work by using another family members phone and adding the camera from that phone and somehow it works.
Hope this helps

Thank you for the reply. Spent over two hours on chat with two different techs. We tried everything listed in the troubleshoot guide and some that were not. Disconnected the Nest thermo to reboot, reset the Hello numerous times, closed the app, reloaded the app, rebooted the iPhone, and tried on an iPad. Odd that the thermo works great, as do all the other connected devices in my home, but the Nest Hello obviously has some issues. I have returned it to Google and am now looking at Blink and Ring. Sorry, no help here.
