Our doorbell is protected under an overhang and does not get direct sunlight. Will Google replace it?

If it is past the 1-year warranty they will not. Many have tried. if you search on this forum there are many people reporting this.

If you search under "Cameras and Doorbells" for "peeling" you'll find 328 threads. Yet Google Nest says they "cannot" replace peeling doorbells older than one year. And they haven't responded to the suggestion that peeling doorbell customers be offered a discount on the new wired Google Nest doorbell that's been promised for 2022.
We bought a silicone skin for ours, one that leaves the camera lens, IR lights, and button uncovered.
