Nest Hello error code NC016

Moved into a house with existing Nest Hello. I tried setup from Nest App, but it fails and gives error code NC016. Help pages list suggestions for about 100 error codes, but not NC016, so I'm stuck.

That error code usually means Nest Hello is trying to get its Wifi information from another Nest product in your home, and is unable to do so.

Temporarily remove other Nest products (except Google Wifi or Nest Wifi devices if you have them of course) from your home (i.e. other Nest Hello, Nest Protect, Nest thermostat, cameras etc) from the Nest app, then retry setup of your Nest Hello. Hopefully that works for you, and you can then re-add those other products back to the Nest app.

Alternatively, another workaround would be to create a new "home" in the app for your Nest Hello, as it then won't try to use another Nest product to get Wifi information. Of course that does mean your Nest Hello will be in its own "home" and there is no way to move products between homes.

Thanks guys, it worked doing a second Home. You probably already know this, but wow - that's super clumsy!

Also I didn't mention that adding the doorbell via the Google Home app totally failed first ("Error - failed to find configuration" or something like that). Then I tried directly from Nest app and got that error.

Anyway thanks again.
