Nest Hello peeling off and not showing online

NoahvdVen

Hello there!

My Nest Hello is peeling off massively! The front layer of the doorbell is losing his "skin" and it looks terribly bad. This is just not representative for our neighborhood. And this is not the behavior you would expect from a multi 100 dollar product. We also have the problem that the doorbell is not showing online anymore after a few power outages. I always used this product with a lot of joy and never had problems with it, but this is a massive bummer. I hope Nest will pick up this threat and help me with a good solution. Or maybe someone else has a possible solution.

Thanks!

@NoahvdVen

Two of our Nest Hellos are peeling. Since Google Nest will not replace them, we purchased silicone "skins" on Amazon. And on a couple of occasions after a power outage, we have had to briefly turn off the electrical circuit for one of our Nest Hellos to get it to restart in order to get it back online.

Thank you for your answer. We have tried to restart the doorbell multiple times. But it just won't go back online unfortunately.
