The google Nest Cam "Outdoor or Indoor | Battery" purchased Apr 22 will not integrate with SmartThings - Anytime when you try and add the device you receive the message - "Can't find a device to link to Samsung SmartThings
It looks like you don't have a device supported by Samsung SmartThings. Make sure that you have at least one device supported by Samsung SmartThings"
This is a laughable Google, previous cameras did support this and now it's not possible - you want to be able to make use of automations when the camera has motion detections.
Does anyone have any solutions?

I'm having the same issue with Google Nest Cam (indoor, wired). All I get is the "Can't find a device to link to Samsung SmartThings. It looks like..." I specifically checked that this camera was certified to connect with SmartThings. I've tried breaking and reconnecting integration between Google Home and SmartThings, cleared caches, restarted apps and phone. Zip...

Yeah its a joke - I have done same as you described. The reality is that google has broken the integration with Smart Things and never fixed it. The issue is on their side, nothing we can do about it other then try and lobby them to try and raise the priority of it so their engineers fix it.

Hi Steve,
Can you share any insights as to how this or any other items is reviewed and prioritised at Google. Is there a product / category owner at Google who is responsible for managing partner integrations? It would be great to connect with them to share the feedback, experience from a customers perspective. I appreciate this issue/feature request will be amongst many which the team are dealing with so being able to offer as much info to help them understand it whilst also filling the vacuum of progress on the customer side would be useful.

Hello,
If this is in regards to your response to NZA then please disregard.
But if this is in regards to original topic then I have not seen anything to indicate that this has been solved and no forthcoming information on when it may be done so I would think we still need assistance with the issue.
Thanks.

As you are not the listed OP, no I was not responding to you in particular. No update from me, as I have no update from Google. SmartThings is not a branded device, so I cannot help you troubleshoot it. If you can't add devices, they are not compatible.
Best regards,
Brad

I upgraded my indoor cameras to the 2nd Gen Wired, and I'm truly disappointed. I have 4 installed in my home and considered upgrading my mother's and inlaw's homes for better picture, but now I'll be selling my cameras and doorbell for either ring or Arlo products. I enjoyed being able to view my cameras from any tv and receive notifications on screen. As big if a fan I am of google they are truly ruining products and experiences for me

Any updates on when this would be available?

I have installed two nest outdoor cams last week replacing my ring cams , I was hoping to stream them through my fridge like I was doing with ring. I'm seeing the same issue like the op said. Everything looks good on the smart things app , it even recognizes that there's a compatible camera nearby, but once I try to login through nest/Google webpage , I see the " Can't find a device to link to Samsung SmartThings
It looks like you don't have a device supported by Samsung SmartThings. Make sure that you have at least one device supported by Samsung SmartThings" message. This really needs to be fixed

Ho acquistato questa videocamera perché pensavo si potesse integrare con ST. Senza Integrazione sarò costretto a renderla. E' possibile avere aggiornamenti in merito?
Grazie
