I've gotten the prompt to transfer my doorbell to the home app finally. However, for a few days I've been trying to get it transferred but it says 'restart transfer " over and over.
I've rebooted the camera, tried redoing the camera. I'm on the public preview branch and have followed everything.
Anyone else with this issue? Would love to ditch the nest app and have everything under the home app like I already have.

We have 3 of the 1st gen Google Nest Hello Doorbells, but have not installed the beta "Public Preview" version of the Google Home app and have NOT "transferred" them from the Google Nest app to the Google Home app because there are still so many Nest app functions missing in the Google Home app (https://support.google.com/googlenest/answer/13038234#zippy=%2Cnest-app-only-features).
Given what you're reporting, I think we will continue to wait.

Hi JayMan, I agree with MplsCustomer in that there is little to be gained by going over to the GOOGLE HOME app. But if you really want to follow up here is a link for you to open an official support ticket and speak with a GOOGLE TECH person.
Please let us know if you are able to get this working the way you want and how you did it.

Support told me my Doorbell can not be transferred.
Then told me I have to reset and delete the device and try setting up in home.
Then told me migration complete despite telling me it couldn't and my doorbell won't turn back on.
Then said reset everything and wait 24 hours then try again. I give up. The doorbell seems bricked now. I can't get video to turn back on even after resetting and re-adding it to nest. Just says "camera off" and when I tick the slider to on it hangs then stays off.

Wow,,, how discouraging. All I can think of is make sure you REMOVE the camera from the apps (both NEST and GOOGLE HOME) and then follow test instructions. Be sure you do a full factory reset and not just a RESTART.
