Nest app keeps crashing

Everything was ok until few days ago. My Nest app keeps crashing as soon as I open one of the cameras in full screen view. I uninstalled the app, upgraded phone software and still same issue. Not sure what happened but prior to this the app worked fine with no changes made to the phone or app.

Is this happening with just one particular camera? What happens if you try to open one of your cameras on the home.nest.com website?  Or on the home.google.com website, or in the Google Home app (if you've migrated your Nest Account to a Google Account)?

Hi, yes this happens with every camera through the nest app. But all cameras were opening just fine a few days ago. They also work on the website and the google app. I like the functionality and features of the nest app instead of the google home one so I’d like to continue using it if I can. But it keeps crashing.

I suggested those just to try to narrow down the issue.

You did delete and then reinstall the Google Nest app?  If so, maybe you try doing it again.

Are you on an older iPhone and/or an older iOS version?

I deleted the app a few times now, restarted my phone and upgraded to latest iOS software. Still crashing.

I understand your frustration with the Nest app crashing when you try to access your cameras. No worries; here's help! I see that @MplsCustomer has already shared some steps, so I thank you for this great gesture. Also, there are more steps we can try to solve this:

• Clear the Google Home app cache.
• Log out and then log back into the Nest app.
• Power cycle the device.
