Nest app wont let me add cameras to a home that exists in Google Home

I have a home set up in Google Home with all mw smart home devices, lights, Google Wi-Fi hubs, speakers etc. I have eight Nest Outdoor cameras that I would like to add to the same home. However Google Home sends me to the Nest App , in the Nest App it will not allow me to add cameras to an existing Google Home (Home) the only way I can add the cameras is to create a new home. This means that I now have two homes when I return to Google Home. What am I missing or is this a bug that I have to live with

Since Google Nest hasn't sold the Google Nest Outdoor Camera since Sept. 2021, by any chance were these 8 Google Nest Outdoor Cameras that you have previously installed either at your home or at another home? If they were, Google Nest's process is to first remove them from the account to which they were attached in the Google Nest app, do a factory reset, and then reinstall them in the Google Nest app on the account you now want to use.

Hi there
I tried everything but keep going round in circles, part of the issue is that I don't know which account I used originally to install the cameras. Is there not a way to get Google to wipe the slate clean and let me start again.

Hi DragonMan1947,

To double check, have you tried speaking with support? They can look up what account is associated with the camera after you give them a little bit of info. If you've tried that route and still haven't had any luck, let us know.

Thanks,
Jeff

Hi

I have tried that several times but unfortunately it doesn't help, and the cameras are mounted high so I have to climb a ladder to re-install each time, at 76 it is a bit hazardous, and my wife gives me that look. Is there a way to request Google to completely reset that cameras or my account so that I can start my home from scratch

@DragonMan1947

Perhaps you should try contacting Support, starting with the link below. I'm not sure which cameras you have and whether they are new or have been previously installed, or what exactly happens when you say the Nest app will not allow you to add your cameras to your existing Google Nest "home".
