Nest aware

If I do not have a nest aware subscription, do I get 3 hours of video history per month, or year?

I believe the new Nest Cam (indoor, wired) "Captures and stores video clips of activity within the past 3 hours" without a Nest Aware subscription.  It is not 3 hours worth of video clips, just clips of events that occurred in the last 3 hours.  If the event occurred 4 hours ago, it won't be in the history anymore.
