Hi there,
I'm new to the nest environment. Seems like there is no way to make my hue lights turn on, as soon as the nest cam detects motion. I can find routines on ifttt. but that doesn't work anymore.
There should be a way to use motion detection as trigger in the Google home routines.
Any advice?
Thanks

Hi Asw631,
Currently there isn't any way for triggering lights when a Nest camera detects motion. Phillips Hue do have motion sensors available that would trigger their lights.
Please use one of the feedback methods described in the help center link below to request that Google add more home automation features to their ecosystem.

To translate, Google acquired nest and deleted all interconnected applications. This included, works with Nest which included hue lights. They also deleted Alexa for the newer cameras, and there is zero chance for us nest users to have the new cameras integrated within the nest app. We are all forced to use an App that has cartoon icons, and limited features. Oh and don’t bother trying IFTT for recipe integration with hue that’s gone too

To explain further, this is a community forum supported by other users like myself and community specialist's. We have no control over how the Google Home app functions with Nest cameras and leaving feedback for the Google Nest team is the best way to get your thoughts, feedback or feature requests to people that can actually make changes.
I've seen recently news outlets reporting that the way devices are displayed within the Google Home app is currently being updated.

I too sent a feedback. This is a huge lack and would improve the product greatly!
No intruder wants to break into a house if the lights suddenly turns on throughout the house. Why this hasn't been recognized by the development team is a big big question.
