Nest cam history not available

I see two events from today, but the events recorded yesterday do not show in the History.  The same is true for the entire history, "No events recorded".  Any event that occurred on the prior day has not been saved.  I do not have the subscription, is this why I'm not seeing any recorded events?

If you do NOT have a Nest Aware subscription, then for 1st gen Google Nest cameras and doorbells you only get still snapshots for events in the most recent 3 hours, and for 2nd gen Google Nest cameras and doorbells you only get event video history for events in the most recent 3 hours.
