Nest cam not capturing footage

Mamak3
Community Member

I am very disappointed in the cameras not capturing important video. My neighbor across the street had someone vandalize one of their cars. I have my zone set to capture that same area and on high sensitivity but nothing was captured.

this is not the first time either. I have our camera hooked up to dolor panels so the battery is always good. I wish there was a setting for continuous recording to ensure nothing missed. Typically if something happens that needs to be reviewed we know about it within 24 hrs.

secondary to this every time I try to look at live feed it just keep trying to load.

very disappointed!!

@Mamak3

You can get continuous recording (24/7) with a Nest Aware Plus subscription if you have the older Google Nest Outdoor Camera, which is plugged in, or if you nave the newer Google Nest Camera (Battery) plugged in with the optional power cable. We have both cameras and that is what we get.

Thank you. We do have the newer one. I’m not sure what plan we have. I will check on that.
