Nest cam playback not continuous

So back when Nest was not a Google product, my Nest cams where controlled by the Nest app, when I played back footage from the cameras I would be able to see the playback as continual motion If that makes sense.) Now my new cameras are controlled by the Google app and when I play back the footage I cannot see the video motion as I scroll. I see a static view and only it only plays the action when I stop at a specific spot. In other words I am unable to see what has occurred between specific points in the video.

Often there are things that occur that the camera does not register as an “event” and I’d like to see continuous footage playing as I scroll the way that the Nest app operates. Is that possible?

This is a Google Home App issue.  And this is why I refuse to purchase any new Google cameras.  Supposedly they are fixing things come 2023.  Yea right

They should allow them to run in the old Nest app until they fix that. I feel cheated out of the yearly fee I paid. This is not very useful to me as it stands.

Definitely and this new view of “matter” is a bunch of nonsense.  Google/Nest has dropped the ball not once but several times.  I am spending much of my time looking at other security camera vendors

Really, this is a non-answer to a legitimate and terrible problem, Google will be losing customers in a major way. This is no small playback problem. This makes the device nearly pointless.
