Nest camera: no sound on my android

I have an indoor nest camera. I watch through many forums like my phone and tablet. I've never had any issues with the audio. However my android recently got updated and now I can't hear audio when I'm watching video. I've been in the nest setting to make sure microphone was on. It is. I also checked my phone and couldn't find any problems. But its only on my android that I can't hear the audio. When I log into nest with my tablet video and audio are fine.  Help please.

I have the exact same problem on my galaxy note 10 when it was updated wuth Android 12. On the other hand, my wife's Galaxy 20 FE, which also runs Android 12 has no problem

The issue has not yet been resolved. I am waiting for Google Nest Support to get back to me

I'm still having the same issue. I've called nest, they don't know what the problem is.

I cannot hear anything from my phone any longer and when I speak to the microphone you can barely hear it too.

what a cop-out.  support will do nothing, I've called them.  can i return as defective under the warranty since the 2way audio does not work on both the doorbell AND the nest floodlight cam?  the support rep wouldn't do anything for service recovery.  I asked for maybe getting extended youtube or nest aware and the support rep said they can't do that.  Beyond awful service.

Yes we all need assistance. We all do not have sound on our Android devices with the nest app since latest Android version update.

yes, Brad, I still need assistance.  how can i return this doorbell and floodlight cam?  they don't work:

1. cant use 2-way talking on either device. (known samsung issue that @User123456 has done nothing about.

2.can't stream live video feeds to chromecast as advertised on BOTH the nest cameras and chromecast. (it is clearly in the google home setup screens)

Should I file a warranty claim since the products do not work?

I have the exact same issue, I cannot hear audio of the live or use the microphone since I got the new Android software update version 12 on my cellphone.

I have the same exact problem. Please fix this Google. I recently updated my galaxy s10 plus to Android 12.  Let me know when you fix this. We pay a premium monthly to record and playback our videos.

I contacted google today and spoke with Helen.  She said nest cams only work with smart hub displays (even though it is advertised right on the box that it works with chromecast). She gave me some BS story about how the OLD cameras work with chromecast, but the NEW ones don't.  How would a customer even know if they are getting a NEW or OLD version of the camera?? Further, the setup process in google home even advertises you can stream to chromecast devices.  Google even emailed me after setup (automated) about 'what your nest can do' and it included streaming to chromecast!!  Helen's only advice - submit feedback on the website, so here I am.

The NEST app on your phone is worthless.  You can't add new nest devices to it.  If you try, you are routed to google home to add it. The NEST app you can add via chromecast is also worthless.  There is absolutely NO way to even sign into your account.

I'm so frustrated and will likely never buy another google product.  Of course I'm out of the return window.  Seriously considering filing a warranty claim since the product does not work as advertised.

False advertising and doing nothing for service recovery is a very bad look, google.

If anyone is considering a NEST cam, I would absolutely NOT get one.  Zero stars.

I have the same issue with my Note 10+ after upgrading to Android 12. Extremely frustrating, waiting for a solution.
