Nest camera offline

I rebooted my router and now my camera is offline and I can’t get it back online. I restarted it multiple times but it still won’t work. Any suggestions?

Let us know what happens when you try these steps?

I have 3 nest cameras and only one camera keeps going offline.  I unplug it and then replug it...then it seems to work for a day.  Everyday I have to reboot it. I think the camera isn't good?  Not sure what the issue is since the other cameras never go offline.

Hey folks,

I’m sorry to hear you’re having trouble with this. No worries, we'll check this out. When did it start happening? Did you make any changes to your Wi-Fi network? How far is your camera from your Wi-Fi router? Also, are there devices or appliances (such as baby monitors, microwaves, cordless phones, etc.) near the camera? Keep us posted.

Thanks,

Archie

I have had the same 3 cameras in the same locations for about a decade.  One keeps going offline.  No changes to my wifi and it started acting up about 3 months now.

Hey J-son,

Understood. What's the status light of your camera while it's offline? Are you using a dual-band router (2.4GHz and 5GHz)? If so, which band is your camera connected to? Also, what troubleshooting steps have you done so far?

Thanks,

Archie

The camera light is blue but the app doesn't show any video and says it's offline.  The other two cameras still show video.

I unplug and replug the camera. I have a 2.4Ghz router.

@J-son

I am sorry to hear you're still going through this! Which Nest cameras do you have? That way, we can troubleshoot the correct device. I see you have tried to restart your cameras, but I would also suggest trying to factory reset them if a restart isn't working. You can learn how to factory reset them here

Best regards,

Brad

Just filled it out.  I thought I fixed it by Uninstalling and reinstalling the camera on the nest app.  It worked for a few hours and then stopped showing up on the app.
