Nest camera preview pull down not working

New Galaxy S21 ultra will not open nest preview. Please help

Does the preview show any motion when you pulled notifications down? Mine doesn't show much motion, which is odd, but when I click on it it opens pretty fast. What is yours doing? Not opening when you click on it?

No it does nothing. When i hold it down it opens the app to all the cameras. I use to get an alert which it still does. The problem is I cannot pull it down to get a preview, it just opens the App to all the cameras.

So you shouldn't need to hold anything down. All I do is pull notification window down, see the notification for event and pull that down to show the camera motion. Then I just click it (not hold) and it opens to that event. You have anything else in the Google Home app? Wouldn't hurt to clear cache at least and reboot phone. Mine works seamlessly with my S21 Ultra.

Yes i do just that. Sorry didnt mean to say hold down I get the alert, then try and slide down to see the preview like my old S10 but nothing happens. Now when I try and pull down it does nothing on my S21. I am at my wits end with it lol. I have cleared cache plus rebooted the phone several times.  Still unable to view preview.

Interesting, what other devices do you have in your Home app? Can you try clearing the data for Home and see if that helps? I have 25 devices in my Home app and ever since I added camera it has worked fine. 

Are you on latest security patch, no beta of One UI or anything? 

Have you tried toggling off notification peek (or whatever it is called) then turning back on?

What do you mean by other devices? Phones ,cameras? I honestly have no idea about security, how do i find that?

I have tried turning the notifications off and on still nothing.

Are you using the newer Nest Cam that requires the Google home app or are you using an older Nest cam accessible through the nest app?

Just so I'm sure, the Google Home app? And it's the newest Nest Cam? Battery or wired?

Its the Google home app. And the camera's are not new, but wired.

I'm sorry, I think I'm confused. You are using the Google Home app, but have older cameras that *also* work in the Nest app? Do you use the Nest app for anything, or even have it installed configured? 

Because the Home app does *not* have the same notification features for those older camera that were designed with the Nest app in mind. 

I think you should try settings in the Nest app, *if* you have cameras that work with that.

Can you 100% confirm *exactly* which camera you have? Be as detailed as possible, it makes a difference.

I use the old nest App. Thats what I have been using. I had no idea there was a Google Home app that shows the cameras. I just opened that app and I can see all my cameras etc.  My issue is when I get an alert I use to be able to pull down to see a quick preview. But now nothing. I try and pull it down and nothing happens. I have to click on it then it opens up the whole site. 

The cameras I have are the 120v plug in outdoor cameras a few years old.

My s21 worked fine before the new samsung update . Now it doesn't have preview in the notification for Google nest camera. But my mom's pixel and my brother's iPhone has preview... so wondering if it's the new Samsung update that has something to do with it? Not compatible?
