Nest cameras won't record 24x7 with nest aware subscription

I am having 2 nest cameras one is outdoor and other is door bell. Both of them won't record 24x7. Turns oút I missed an important event inside the zone i set. I see that time of recording doesn't exist. Also it's not before 30days, so it couldn't have got deleted.

My both cameras do intermittent recordings only. How can I fix them? What network speed/bandwidth I require?

Can you confirm which aware subscription you have, as the 30 day aware subscription does not have 24/7 recording only the 60 day aware plus has that feature.

So the Nest Doorbell  (sadly) does not record 24/7 even when it is connected to power.  Google does not support that. For that reason I returned my new doorbell and went back to my old Nest Hello cam.   Now for the outdoor cam it will only record 24/7 if it has power (IE not battery).

EmptyNester, yes you are right for the battery versions they dont record 24/7, but the OP was saying in their history and mentioned 30 days, which isnt a 24/7 plan anyways, which is why I asked that question first, as it wouldnt matter what hardware they have at that point.  I still use the original Nest Hello Wired, and love it!

Oh Right,  Sorry, I forgot the 30 day plan is event recording only.

And on this topic do you know what the reason is as to why the new doorbell when it is connect to power won't record 24/7?

Sadly I don't, I know for battery versions it's to conserve power, but if hardwired that should override.  I am hoping that it comes as a firmware update as I know the nest team is listening to the feedback and will be implementing some changes in the new year.

I heard a rumor (which I hope is not true) that in the design of the new doorbell if it stayed ON all the time it would over heat.   The person posting was implying a heat-dissipating design flaw.  It sounds like a possibility to me as to why they won't let users do this.  I actually went back to my old Nest Hello Doorbell because of the inability to record 24/7.  I honestly can't remember a product release that has been this badly botched-up.

I can safely say that's not true, if you look at this article (https://support.google.com/googlenest/answer/9681538?hl=en) it says that 24/7 recording is possible with battery models but must be hard wired, so I assume it will become available after the firmware / software updates.  The reality is they are trying to unify the two eco systems and didn't understand the amount of negative feedback there would be from depreciation of nest app.  Once the Google home app is updated to have all the same features and functions they will be able to concentrate on the rest.  Always pain with Growth

Nice of them to remove this feature then price gouge for it I set up Nest Aware a few years ago and enjoyed the 24/7 recordings now today when I actually need it I see I cannot view it after someone stole my garbage cans from the street.  Google used to have the motto do no evil. Now they are fleece your customers and make them pay the highest tier for features the other tier had before.
