Nest doorbell (battery) no longer detecting motion

Nest doorbell (battery) no longer detecting motion. After charging the battery I can't get the doorbell to detect any motion. Camera only turns on if the doorbell is pressed or if I open the doorbell in the home app. I have no issues with notifications. I get them when the doorbell is pressed. I've tried factory resetting, changing wifi connection, reinstalling app. Not sure what else to do to get the camera detecting motion again

Does the doorbell light ring pulse white when somebody is near the device?

 

Let's check the settings of the doorbell in the Home app. Follow the steps below:

 

  1. Open the Google Home app.
  2. Tap Favorites or Devices.
  3. Tap and hold your device's tile > More > Settings.
  4. Tap Events > Seen events.
  5. Toggle the switch next to any events that you want to turn on or off.
  6. Trigger a notification to test.

Hi Lance,

 

Thanks for the reply. It does not pulse white when someone's nearby. The suggestions also didn't make a difference on the camera working.
