Nest doorbell not streaming to android TV with chromecast

I recently purchased a Nest doorbell. It streams well to my 2 nest displays but it doesn't stream on my chromecast installed android TV. When I say - ok Google, show me front doorbell camera - a white screen comes with a camera in the centre crossed out.

Same! I switched a second gen nest drop camera style to a battery powered Google nest camera recently and now none of my cameras will stream. Tried resetting my network and still no joy. Trying to stream to a Chromecast with Google TV remote.

Hey there everyone,

We began receiving reports about a week ago that this issue should be resolved. Just to confirm, was anyone still not able to cast their Nest Doorbell to the Chromecast? I look forward to your responses, and if you have any other questions or concerns for me, please let me know.

Best regards,
Jeran

It looks like it was resolved, thanks!

Separately, I would still advocate the ability to use Google Assistant to be able to stream it to another Google-branded device in my network. For example, I have a nighttime routine where it streams a camera to a display hub in another room at the end of it. This worked on the older, Gen 2 Nest Camera, but does not work on the Google Nest camera - even though it's streaming to a Google branded device. I have to go over to the device and call up the camera "manually".

Hey there ibrown2,

Awesome! Thank you for letting me know. As for the Google Assistant issue, would you mind submitting feedback via Google Home? Google takes submitted feedback seriously, and the more feedback they receive via the feedback form, the more likely they are to prioritize specific features. I'll pass it up as well!

Best regards,

Jeran

Thanks everyone. The issue seems to have resolved. What I would really like is if when someone presses the doorbell it shows up on my TV/phone while I am using it..rather than just on the other displays. Would Google do something about this ?

Hey there anisha_nakulan,

Thank you! Like I suggested for ibrown2, go ahead and submit feedback via the Google Home app to let Google know what features to prioritize in future updates.

Best regards,

Jeran
