Nest doorbell peeling

Tbells1

Hi,

I've had my Google Nest doorbell just over a year and it's been awesome. However it has now started peeling and its getting worse, it looks awful. This isn't the film that comes off easily when opening the packaging. This seems to be flaking off and it some different type of cover. Is there anything that can be done to resolve this?

Thanks,

Tom

Thanks folks. I doubt I'll be in warranty now I'll give it a go anyway. It's a real shame google don't value this as something they should fix outside of warranty. It doesn't seem like the sort of thing that should happen to an expensive out door product...Thank you for the tip RE the silicone casing, I will check that out.

Thanks,

Tom

There are over 360 posts in this forum on "peeling" Google Nest Hello Doorbells. Google Nest says they "cannot" replace them if they're beyond the 1-year warranty. We bought a silicone "skin" on Amazon to cover the peeling shards on our 2-year-old Nest Hello.

You could try contacting Google Nest Support:

Hi Brad, thanks for coming back again! I've submitted a request for a replacement but I'm yet to hear anything. In the mean time I have invested in a doorbell cover which does the job and covers the peeling mess! See photo!
