After upgrading to 2nd Gen. wired doorbell, the preview I receive on my phone does not show what actually set off the recording. Example is that I get a notification of a person seen and when I look at the preview in my phone it shows a preview with some gif like movement , but doesn’t show the actual person. Even when it recognizes the face. I saw another person having this issue last year on here but the person who was helping them didn’t seem to recognize the issue was more than just basic settings issues.
Im no expert far from it and Im unsure exactly what you mean without seeing it myself but the "gif like movement" you speak of sounds like the event preview..
If you push on the event preview window that being the window playing the "gif like movement' it opens the full lemgth video event then the whole event video is able to be viewed in the event window.
