My nest doorbell is peeling and the surface looks cracked. Is this a problem other’s are experiencing? What should I do?

Hey there,
I hope you're doing well! I am terribly sorry to hear about your Nest Camera mount issues. I can imagine it’s been quite frustrating being without a working device. We will need to look into this further in order to best assist you. I cannot guarantee I can get you a replacement, but I can submit your request for one. We'll be reaching out to your email on file to collect some information from you. Please respond as soon as you can, so we can get the process started.
Please let me know if you need any further assistance!
Best Regards,
Brad.

Don't waste your time Trebor - you'll just get passed on to Google 'customer support' and eventually - weeks later - they'll tell you you're out of warranty so they're not doing anything. There are dozens of examples of this on the internet and I've had it myself!

Google does not support their products when they are out of warranty. There is no way to get it fixed at all. They wasted my time for more than a week before telling me to push off.

I have the same problem and I have contacted google by phone and also using this board, where Brad (community specialist) opened a case and after wasting hours of my time got denied. They claimed that their policy has changed and that they only replace devices that are under warranty. It is a complete disgrace that a multi-billion dollar company that is clearly aware of this manufacturer defect can simply decide to wash their hands. I heavily use Google as my smart home technology platform and I am very disappointed by their lack of accountability.

I was going to give them kudos for at least not deleting posts that don't go their way, but then they deleted one I posted. It's their forum, they can do what they want. Go figure. Looks pretty bad though.

We need to praise them more. Did you find a work around? I was thinking of buying a silicone cover for it.

There are stickers (skins) that are made to cover them. It's probably better for the device since they don't interfere with cooling that much. You can probably search for "Nest Hello Skins" and find them.
