Would he my suspicion as well, just wanted to see if he has access to live feed before saying so

If you are not getting the live feed you might try rebooting the doorbell. To do this you need to remove power for about 10 seconds and re-connecting it. Remember you will need that little paper-clip like thing that came with the camera to unlock the camera from the base, then using a screwdriver disconnect one of the wires. Be careful not to let them touch. The alternative is to turn off the circuit breaker to the camera for about 10 seconds. Hope this helps.
