Nest doorbell wired (2nd Gen) will not connect to Google Home App

This doorbell was connected and then I changed my router login and it will not reconnect. I have done a factory reset and the light changes to white and then goes back to green with a spinning white ring around the button. It was working before and sending me video updates via my iPhone. Not it looks like it is recording, but I can't set it up again. Very odd.

Please help before I throw this in the trash and go a different route.

I'm just another customer who sees a continuous string of posts like yours.

In general, Google Nest's process for changing Wi-Fi settings for a Google Nest device is 1) remove the device from the Google Nest app or Google Home app while still on the old Wi-Fi network [this is not explicitly called out on their help pages], 2) do a factory reset, and 3) re-install the device.

Most customers don't know about #1, and so find out they cannot reinstall their device.

Google Nest's recommendation when getting a new router/modem is to set the network name (SSID) and password to the same values as on the old router/modem. That's what we did when we got a new router/modem quite some time ago, and we didn't have to do anything to our Google Nest devices. But again, most customers don't know about this either (https://support.google.com/googlenest/answer/9223711?hl=en).

You may have to contact Google Nest Support for assistance in getting past Google Nest's obstacles in this process, starting with this link: https://support.google.com/googlenest/gethelp

If one of your devices is a thermostat, you could try the solution posted on this thread by customer CoolingWizard: https://www.googlenestcommunity.com/t5/Nest-Thermostats/Connection-Issue/m-p/291002
