How do I get my doorbell to ring on my phone

I have same problem - on my iphone7 I can see the doorbell view but I need to look it up - I expected the doorbell would tell me on my iPhone that something was sighted even before they pressed the doorbell

Hi folks,

@Rlwhite you can use your phone to receive notifications whenever your Nest doorbell detects motion or people etc.. If you have a smart display or smart speaker you can turn on the visitor announcement from your Google Home app or Nest app to hear your doorbell chime.

@peterseaford make sure that your push notification from your Google Home app or Nest app is turned on. select your desired categories to trigger the notification.

Neither my cameras or Google doorbell notify us that some one has been seen only boorbell rings when bell pressed so nest seems a waste for me
