Nest hello not sending notifications to new phone

I just purchased a pixel 7a and I am not getting notifications when somebody walks to the door or presses the doorbell. I've gone over all the trouble shooting I can find with no success. My pixel 6a and wife's pixel 6a still get notifications so the issue would lie on my phone. A fresh install of the app doesn't cure it. What other settings not related to the nest app might cause this?

In the parameters of your phone, have you set your notifications 'on' for Google?

Thanks for the response however I find it a little vague. What parameter exactly are you speaking of? is it in the Google app or nest app or within the settings menu somewhere?

Not in either the Google app, nor the Nest app. I mean in your Android phone Notification parameters. 

There, you will find that you can switch On or Off the notifications from Google. I am writing from the Web based browser applications and can't at the moment show you. I'll try to come back from my own phone with a screen shot of what I mean. It will be with the French version of Android, but you will get the drift.

Have a look at the following screenshots. In French, it is called 'Paramètres' setting, but probably in English it is '

Settings'. You need to set the Google setting to On with the togle switch.

If it's turned on and you are still not getting Notifications from Google, then I can not help you, sorry.

How about the 'Home' notification setting? Is it turned on?
