Does anyone with the new Battery Nest Camera have any issues with it dying or going offline WHILE plugged in? It some times will charge back up to around 13-19% but that is about it and will be offline in a day.
Very disappointed in the quality of this release. The OG nest app and devices are far superior to this new experience and I cannot believe this was ever deemed release worthy.
Why would a camera that is wired to power be reliant in the battery and drain the battery until it dies?

I have three of these cameras, although I have other issues with them, what you are describing is not one of them. I purchased three of the longer power cords for these cameras, one 5m and two 10m. So, all my cameras are always plugged in. I have had no issues at all with power. In fact, when I look at the cameras Battery page it just says Plugged in and displays an infinity symbol.
I know this doesn't help you, but you may have an issue with the camera, could be faulty.

Hi there,
Sorry for my late response. Thank you for all of your patience while waiting for a reply. I just wanted to make sure that your issue is addressed. I am terribly sorry to hear that you have had such a hard time with this! I would love to look into this issue further and help find a solution for you. First off, I have some questions I’d like to ask you.
Do you still need help with this issue?
What troubleshooting steps have you done thus far?
Have you tried to restart your device if you haven’t already?
If the restart didn’t work, have you tried to do a Factory Reset? This would be a last resort option, but would clear out issues and the device would essentially be ‘brand new’
Please let me know if you need further assistance.
Best Regards,
Brad.
