Have discovered that using Google FI VPN on my Pixel 5 keeps me from having a reliable connection to the live video feed from my Next camera. I can connect to the live stream right after I reboot my phone and access the camera through the Home app. However, the connection is lost within a few minutes and cannot be reestablished without a force stop on the Home app and rebooting my phone. Noticed I had no issue with connecting to my live video feed when using an Android tablet that' not running Fi VPN. When I disconnected from the Fi VPN on my Pixel 5, the live stream was immediately reconnected.
Google, can your Fi and Nest teams connect on this to find a fix? Shutting off my VPN every time I want to access my Nest camera is a real pain.

Found the fix. Go into the Google Fi app and add the Home app as an exception to your VPN. Got ot Google Fi> Privacy & Security. Make sure Protect your online activity is on. Choose Show More Details > Advanced CPN settings. Choose add an exception, then find and select Home from the list of apps installed. Once it's been added, you should be able to access your live stream.
