Next camera notificiations

Is there a way for the Nest Aware Cameras in my kid's rooms to notify me of sound like other baby monitor's do (walkie talkie style??) - currently, my phone needs to be open and on high volume all night for me to get any notifications whereas others notify you in real time.

There might be a way to do this but first which app are you using?  I'm pretty sure the NEST APP can alert you to hearing a sound.  But I don't believe the Google Home app offers this.   If you have the older gen 1 camera then you should be using the NEST APP.  But if you have the new Gen 2 cams (sold after Sept 2021) then you must only use the Google Home app.
