Night vision too dark on Google Camera

For a few months now, I've noticed that night vision on my Google camera doesn't work, or it's way too dark and nothing can be seen. 

I've noticed some similar topics here but no fixes. 

What do we do about this?

I have a photo to show what I'm seeing.

Thanks for bringing your concern to our attention and posting it in the community. I'm really sorry to hear about the issue you are experiencing with the night vision in your Nest Cameras. 

I understand that the night vision seems too dark and isn't working as expected. No worries! We're here to assist. 

Please follow the next steps: 

• Move the camera to an area with more appropriate lighting, or change the lighting in the area if the camera can’t be moved. 
• Restarting
• the camera as a temporary fix, but unless there's more light in the room, the issue may return.
• Check that night vision mode is in auto mode
  • Tap Favorites, then select the preferred camera to change settings for.
  • Tap the More menu and then Settings and then Video.
  • Under Night Vision, select Auto.
