No Video - Nest Doorbell Wired (2nd Gen)

I have purchased two second gen doorbells. 

1st doorbell - Installed myself.  Live Video and Recording features never worked. Reset the doorbell multiple times and rebooted my router many times (Netgear Orbi with an additional satellite). I’ve also removed and added it back to the Google Home app many times and it still did not work. Had the doorbell checked by the person installing the 2nd doorbell. They couldn’t get it to work.  Returned 1st doorbell for a refund. 

2nd doorbell - Installed by a Nest pro. Nest Pro also checked my WiFi and had no connection issues even walking across the street to test range and signal strength. I created a separate 2.5 GHz only network and the doorbell is the only device on the network. Live Video and Recording worked for approximately 12 hours then suddenly stopped working. After it stopped working, I rebooted my router many times and still no Live Video and Recordings. I will still get alerts/notifications for people, motion, and vehicles but no video at all. 

Any help with getting the Nest Doorbell Wired 2nd Gen to work would be appreciated. This has been a frustrating experience getting the doorbell to work consistently and I’m on my 2nd Doorbell. 

Additional info: I had a Nest Hello Doorbell previously installed in the same location and did NOT have these connection issues. I only replaced it because the unit had a lot of wear and thought the latest generation would be better. I see it isn’t. 

Also have Nest Cams in the Garage and the Backyard along with a Nest x Yale lock on the front door next to the doorbell with NO connection issues (using the main access point with 2.5 & 5 GHz networks).

what subscription plan do you currently have for your doorbell camera? This information will help me troubleshoot the issue further.

I have the Nest Aware Yearly subscription with 30 days of event video history.

Thank you for letting me know about your Nest subscription plan. Since your current plan doesn't include video history storage, it will only record and  send you alerts/notifications for events that happen in your home not video.

 

If you'd like to keep a record of what happens around your home, we offer a different subscription called Nest Aware Plus this plan has 10 days of video history. This link provides a comparison of both plans to help you choose the best option for your needs.

I should see videos and recording of the events that happen. I am not. Also no live video shows. This is the same subscription plan I had with the Nest Hello Doorbell. On the Nest Hello Doorbell I did see live video and recordings of events. I also have 2 Nest Cams (Battery) on the 30 days subscription and I have access to live video and recorded events. The subscription is not an issue otherwise I’d have the same behavior on my other cameras.
