No longer latches

The doorbell no longer secures and latches to the mount frame.  As a result, the door bell fell and lens shattered.  Looking to replace the door bell as it's under a year.  Please help.

The mounting latch on the battery doorbell seems to be poorly designed; other customers are reporting similar issues, like this one:
