I’m experiencing a persistent issue with my Nest Doorbell (Wired, 2nd Gen) where doorbell presses appear in the Google Home app activity feed, but I do not receive any push notifications on my phone. All other notifications (e.g., motion/person detection) appear to be working as expected.
Here are the relevant details:
Model: Nest Doorbell (Wired, 2nd Gen)
Software Version: 4110055
Google Home App: Latest version (as of May 2025)
Phone OS: oneus 6t Android 11 Oxygen 11.1.2.2
Steps I've already taken (with no success):
Verified all notification settings on both my phone and in the Google Home app
Restarted the doorbell and my router
Power cycled the doorbell via breaker
Ensured my account has full Home access
Checked “Visitor Announcements” and other relevant toggles
Cleared cache/data and reinstalled the Google Home app
Confirmed I am not using legacy Nest app settings
Verified it's not an issue with Focus Mode or DND
Observed that the doorbell press shows in history but still no notification is triggered
It appears this could be a backend routing issue or a known bug with software version 4110055. I’d appreciate it if you could check the backend status of my device and confirm whether this is a broader issue.
Please advise on next steps. I'm happy to provide any logs or assist with further diagnostics.
Thank you,

After much time I appear to have resolved by removing Nest from the third party apps and services in Data and Privacy / Security in my Gmail account, then setting up again.

Do you have "Push notifications" turned on under "Notifications" in your doorbell's settings in the Google Home app? ("Visitor announcements" sends doorbell button press notices to your Nest Hubs.)

Yes. And even though I don't want want people/motion/sound I ticked those also.

Hi JamesKBLinton,
Thank you for posting in the community. I understand that you were not receiving push notifications on your phone. It seems that other notifications, such as motion and person detection, were working. I'm glad to hear that after your effort troubleshooting your Nest Doorbell (Wired, 2nd Gen), all notifications are functioning correctly.
If you have any further questions, please don’t hesitate to reply to this post. I'll be happy to assist you further!
Best regards,
Rusell.
