My iq camera no power

Hi Ken23,

 

Oh no! I'm sorry to hear that your Nest Cam IQ is not powering up. Let's see what's going on. A few questions:

 

  1. Has the camera ever powered on?
  2. Did the camera work when it was first installed? If yes, how long has it been since installation?
  3. Were there changes made with the setup, settings, and/or app of the Nest camera?
  4. Is the camera paired to a Nest or Google Account?
  5. Is the customer using the USB cable and adapter that was shipped with the camera?
  6. Is the end of the cable with the rubber ring plugged into the camera? Ask the customer if the logo is visible on the USB connector when viewing the back of the camera. The visible logo indicates the USB connector is inserted correctly.
  7. Is the cable fully and securely plugged into both the camera and the adapter?
  8. Are there any kinks or frays in the cable?
    • Have the customer inspect for damages on the cable.
    • Check for possible customer induced damage.
  9. Where is the device installed?
