My Nest Cam indoor 1st gen was overheating and showed problems of consistently disconnecting when too hot and only resuming the connection after cooling down. It also started to happen just after the end of the warranty. When I reached out to ask Google Nest Support where I could find an authorized support centre, I learned that there isn't such thing as repairing the camera, and when I tried to remove the USB cable during the call support, the USB plug socket in the camera fell inside the camera and now it doesn't work at all... Did all of you know that after the warranty if anything happens to your devices, it is just trash? Or have any of you repaired your devices yourselves? Did you face the same issue?
Google Nest support told me that they would check my case with the safety team, but it has been 6 weeks waiting for their answer and nothing has happened, just seems that we are expected to buy a new device every 1 to 2 years then.
Any experience shared will be appreciated. Thanks.

Hi menhai,
Oh no! I am sorry to hear about the issue you are having with your Nest camera. Don’t worry; help’s here.
Could you share the case ID from your interaction with the support team so I can check what happened?
Keep me posted.
Best,
Lance

Thanks for looking into my case. I have a recent follow up from the safety department (as they introduced themselves), but unsure what it means.
Last info mentions the case number is 1-8067000035590
All the other case IDs I collected over the last month :
Case ID 9-5877000034680
Case ID 1-8987000034835
Case ID 6-7567000035343
Case ID 0-8871000034984
Case ID 1-8067000035590
And I am sure there are others that I missed taking note of on the ID case. The annoying part was that I had to each conversation start from scratch.
