Notification videos don’t load

whenever i get a notification about someone my Nest Hello sees at my front door, i pull up the notification and the video just never loads. the spinner just spins and spins and spins. i can pull up the live feed with no issue, but i cannot get the clips i get notifications about to load.

 

this has been happening for some time now.  

is there a fix for this forthcoming?

I can’t figure out how to get my history either I can only find live feed!! Do you know how to sync music on 2 nest hub devices to play music at the same time?

if you click on the live feed image, you should then taken to a screen where you can see the history.  

i don't have a nest hub device though, i'm just looking at it in the Nest app on my phone (so i don't have an answer to your music question).

This used to work fine but has been busted for a while on iOS, pretty sad app quality and support

So, correction, it still does work, just rarely and highly unreliably. If you keep quitting and relaunching the app, it occasionally works, so this is a service issue.

Hi Brad,

Interestingly enough, since we all started commenting on how the IOS app has problems, it is working again.  My Nest app version history indicates v. 5.68.0 was updated a month ago, but it is only in the past couple of days that i've been able to have notifications open without the spinning.  So I don't know what change happened to make it work, but it is now.

I am happy o hear that your device is working now, not sure what it could have been. I know there was an update to the Google Home app the other day, but not sure if this was a specific fix.
