Setting up Nest doorbell, stuck in a loop with Home & Nest

Bought a Nest wireless doorbell. Not off to a good start when trying to select the product in drop-down at start of this post and battery doorbell isn't even listed!

Followed the scarce instructions but just end up in a loop between Google Home and Nest app. I scan the QR code which takes me to Nest and tells me to install with Home. I go to Home, add new device (have many others already set up) and it tells me the doorbell needs to be set up in Nest. 

Rinse and repeat. We've restarted the doorbell, checked cables, double checked our WiFi, restarted our Pixel 5 phones to no avail. We have the blue pulsing light showing on the doorbell so it's ready to connect. 

Home app is already on most recent update (15th Dec) phone is running Android 12, this should be simple and straightforward but is just not happening! 

Any ideas before I send it back and get a R*Ng?!?

I'm having the same issue with nest temperature sensor.

We don't have the Nest Doorbell (Battery), but is this install video of any help?

Sames issue.. Getting an "internal error" on terms and condition and that's it.. starting over..
Any ideas
