i have both a nest doorbell battery and a nest camera. I'm using the google home app, and the devices work fine with one exception. I can't receive notifications on my iphone when an event occurs. Everything is stored in history and operates well.

Give this a try: Go into the Google Home app but do NOT go into the individual cameras. At the main level where you see all the devices select the GEAR (settings) icon. From there select NOTIFICATIONS and then select "General Notifications". Now turn ON the notifications you would like to received.
Let me know if this works.

Thanks for trying to help. I have already done this and it didn’t change anything. I think I’ll try to find an answer in the critical alert area.My wife and I have identical phones, on ios 15.2. She receives notifications from both doorbell and cam. The only difference is the critical alert area.

I wasn't receiving notifications from the Google Home app, but was receiving them from the Google Nest app. I deleted and re-installed the Google Home app on my iPhone with IOS 15.2, and turned notifications back on in the newly reinstalled app and am now receiving notifications.

I'll see if that works for me. thanks

So I was doing more reading on this and someone said the solved it by completely powering down their phone for about 60 seconds and powering back up. When the phone re-registered on the local cell site it somehow reset the phone and now it works. Might be worth a try since it is so simple.

I'll give it a shot, and let you know.

I have tried each of the suggestions with the exception of reloading home. My wife's phone receives notifications and she would have to reload also. None have worked for me.

It doesn’t work. Mine is on, still can’t receive camera alarm through phone notifications

Are you each logging into the Google Home app with the same user id? I'm wondering if using the "household" setting in the google home app on your wife's phone and then selecting the 'invite' feature is a way to get this to work. Her invite would be to a different email address than the one used to login to the Google Home app. Sorry I don't have another iPhone in my household or I would give it a try.

I did set up the household and then sent her an invitation to join. Her's works and mine doesn't. That's a good catch on your part. I'll have to think about how to fix mine.

Yes Brad. I still can’t receive any notifications from google home app including cameras alerts, doorbell alerts. I have deleted and reinstalled, but doesn’t fix. There’s no such functions to change in each cameras notifications setting as nest app. Please advice. Thank you!

Have you tried to Factory Reset each one of your cameras? And have you checked all of the settings in the app to make sure? I do not understand how you are not getting any notifications at all. They must be turned off somehow in your settings.
Best regards,
Brad.

I have tried the settings of the app and factory rest. Doesn’t work. And I saw many people has the same problems. From home app, it doesn’t show the functions of cameras alerts!
