For a few weeks now my Nest Cam had been constantly going offline. It reconnected after a few minutes though.
Over the weekend it failed to reconnect entirely. I have tried resetting it several times and adding it as a new device. It gets to the part where it should connect to my wifi then fails every time. I have reset my router (twice), uninstalled and reinstalled the app and also restarted my phone - only for it to fail at the same point every time. Obviously I've checked that I'm using the correct wifi password etc. No changes have been made to my wifi at any time recently and no other device connected to it has had a single connectivity issue. I can only assume that the Wifi circuit in the Nest cam has failed. It's about two years old now.

Hello larryblag,
Thanks for reaching out here in the Community. To know more about this issue, I’d like to confirm, what is the light status of it? How far is it from your Wi-Fi router? Do you have the battery or wired type?
Looking forward to your response.
Regards,
Emerson

Blue - pulsating light.
Distance from router 8ft - but irrelevant as there has been no issues before and absolutely nothing has changed

Hi larryblag,
I appreciate the update. To further isolate this issue, have you tried using a different mobile phone to install it? You may try setting up your mobile hotspot then connect your phone and Nest Camera there then add it to the app. If you're able to add it successfully, that means there's a setting on your router that restricts your Nest Camera to connect.
Best,
Emerson
