I have a mains operated doorbell with mechanical chime, however the audible quality of the chime is extremely poor, l've tried adjusting duration, still with no improvement.
Is it possible to install a compatible electronic chime which would offer programmable volume and tones offering longer tones instead of just a ding and a dong, unfortunately even a google mini only offers a ding dong
Your help and advice would be appreciated
Thanks Geoff

Thanks for your help
Was hoping an electronic bell would work, but it appears a mechanical chime is the only type available.
Problem is 80db and a simple ding dong is not acceptable.
Thanks for your reply but l'll have to look for an alternative

Hey there,
I am terribly sorry to hear that you're having this issue with your Nest camera! I'm sure it's frustrating, but I'm happy to look into this and see how we can help out. The first troubleshooting step that I'd recommend would be to restart your device. By doing this, it should keep all your settings, and reconnect it to the same Wi-Fi network. This is helpful if it ever freezes, has connection problems, or isn't working normally.
Best regards,
Brad

What you suggest has already been tried via the Google installer with no improvement.
I have also tried adjusting the length of chime again with no improvement.
Unless I am standing under the chime ot cannot be heard elsewhere within my home.
I only live in a bungalow incase you think otherwise.
I do own a google speaker and display but l would still like to have a the chime a lot louder than it does at present considering the cost of purchasing and installation

Thank you for letting me know! I'm glad that you had the chance to try those steps first. You are welcome to replace the chime with a newer one, or one that is compatible with your Nest Hello or Nest Doorbell (battery). However, the chime sound cannot be adjusted as far as I am aware.
Best regards,
Brad
